Curriculum Vitae

Ágnes Hincz, 1998

My name is Ágnes Hincz. I was born in Budapest, in 1972. I was educated as a librarian and teacher. I worked as a librarian for half a year before quitting, and I feel I no longer want to teach as I never liked schools. I spent years attending drawing classes, and I applied to the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts but I did not attend the entrance examination.

I started drawing at the library. First I made small, simple drawings, and then larger, more elaborated ones. By the time I left I was accustomed to drawing. This might mean that the university years were worth it after all. All this happenned in Debrecen.

Afterwards I traveled to Switzerland and the Netherlands. I started attending drawing classes, and I learned model drawing. I don't know how practical all this was, but it lasted long and I made some friends there, too.

During the last three years I traveled often (found a job abroad) and my friends convinced me to exhibit my drawings. I participated in exhibitions of drawing classes in the Netherlands and Switzerland, even won a prize. I created this homepage following the advice of an art historian.

I cannot make a professional curriculum vitae as an artist as art is not my profession.
That is all of my life which belongs to the public.
